ਪੰਥੁ ਅਤੀਤੰ
Guru Naanak Dev Jee is singing.
ਪਤੁ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ਗਿਆਨ ਮਤਿ
ਡੰਡਾ ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਬਿਭੂਤੰ ||
पतु वीचारु गिआन मति
डंडा वरतमान बिभूतं ॥
patu veechaaru giaan mati DanDaa varatamaan bibhootaM ||
Repute is the contemplation. Knowledge through esprit is the stick. Present is Vibhooti.
ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਰਹਰਾਸਿ ਹਮਾਰੀ
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪੰਥੁ ਅਤੀਤੰ ||੩||
हरि कीरति रहरासि हमारी
गुरमुखि पंथु अतीतं ॥३॥
hari keerati raharaasi hamaaree guramukhi panthu ateetaM ||3||
Hari's Glory is the stable capital of mine. With Gur through the mouth the Panth is past.
